Super OYO tagged hotels increase 5X to reach 1000

OYO to end FY24 with 1500 Super OYOs

OYO, a global hospitality technology company, announced that its ‘Super OYO’ tagged hotels have surpassed the 1000 mark and are spread across over 140 cities in India. The category was launched in December 2022 with 200 properties across 70 cities to recognize hotels that provide the most consistent and high-quality customer experience. Enthused by the customer response, the company is supporting its hotel partners to improve consistently in experience and aims to end FY24 with over 1500 hotels that can be tagged as Super OYOs.

Customers are increasingly showing strong preference, with one in four OYO customers already. Opting to stay at a Super OYO, indicating the category’s popularity and the trust it has earned among guests. Since the launch of Super OYO, the company has seen a significant reduction in check-in issues, a customer-pain point that OYO was actively working towards improving. This, along with other improvements in stay experience, has contributed to higher customer satisfaction ratings.

Super OYOs are curated through a meticulously thought-out evaluation process, which assesses hotels based on customer ratings, keeping maximum rooms operational consistently, seamless check-in experiences, and other key performance indicators.

Hotels from any category, from premium to budget, can achieve the Super OYO tag by earning consistently high customer service rating. This means, customers across every price point can choose to stay at a Super OYO.  OYO Flagship constitute the majority with over 26% hotels, followed by OYO Rooms at 22% and Collection O at 19%, offering guests a diverse range of accommodation choices tailored to their budgetary requirements. Among the cities, Hyderabad has the highest number of Super OYOs at 82, followed by Bangalore and Kolkata at 61 and 55 respectively.

OYO has consistently been undertaking initiatives to improve customer experience. Recently, the company launched a flagship customer experience program, ‘Spotless Stay,’ to deliver an enhanced stay experience. As a part of the Spotless Stay program, hotels with high cleanliness ratings from customers will be awarded benefits such as high search rankings. OYO is planning to launch multiple initiatives in coming months which will further help in ensuring smoother customer journeys.
