Hilton has announced plans to launch its second Waldorf Astoria hotel in India, situated in New Delhi’s Aerocity. This move follows the upcoming Waldorf Astoria in Jaipur, set to open in 2027. The new establishment will feature 150 rooms and suites, signature dining options, expansive event spaces, wellness amenities, and the brand’s iconic Peacock Alley.
In collaboration with GMR Group-led Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Hilton will also introduce a 350-room Hilton Hotels & Resorts property at the same location. This will mark Hilton’s first full-service hotel in New Delhi and expand its presence in the Delhi-NCR region to six properties.
Chris Nassetta, President & CEO of Hilton, emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to India, stating that the dual signing in Aerocity underscores their growth strategy. Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific, highlighted this development as a significant milestone in Hilton’s plan to expand its India portfolio tenfold over the next decade.
Hilton’s luxury brand portfolio in India is poised to quadruple, with upcoming additions including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and Signia by Hilton, alongside existing Conrad properties in Bengaluru and Pune.
