admin: Hospitality Stalwart Nakul Anand retires from ITC after 45 years

An Economics Honors graduate from Delhi University with an AMP degree from Bond University, Australia, Anand embarked on his journey with ITC Hotels’ Management Training Programme in 1978. Notably, he also served as the Managing Director of the erstwhile ITC Hotels Limited from 2003 to 2005.

With a career spanning over three decades, Anand garnered recognition in the hotels and tourism industry for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment. Drawing on the principles of sustainable excellence within ITC, he played a pivotal role in introducing the concept of ‘Responsible Luxury’ to the hospitality sector. Under his guidance, ITC Hotels achieved LEED Platinum certifications for all its super premium luxury hotels, establishing itself as the ‘Greenest Luxury Hotel Chain in the world.’

Anand’s contributions extended beyond his professional endeavors, as evidenced by his role as the Chairman of the CII National Tourism Committee and the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality. He also served as a past President of the Hotel Association of India. His dynamic leadership, coupled with a passion for the industry, earned him the respect and acknowledgment of his peers.
