Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a resort in the scenic town of Naukuchiatal. Following extensive renovations and expansion, the property will be rebranded as an IHCL – SeleQtions hotel.
Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his excitement about the signing, stating, “This hotel signing aligns with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in leisure destinations. Naukuchiatal, nestled amidst the Kumaon Himalayas, is a picturesque hill station in Uttarakhand’s lake district. With its easy access to other popular hill stations in the state, we are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Leisure Hotels Group for our fifth hotel together.”
Sprawled over 4 acres and boasting 88 rooms, the resort elegantly borders the renowned Naukuchiatal Lake, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the water and the scenic splendor of the Himalayan foothills. The property will feature a range of dining options, including an all-day diner, a bar, and a specialty restaurant on the decks overlooking the shimmering lake. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, and spacious indoor and outdoor venues for social gatherings and corporate events.
Vibhas Prasad, Director of Leisure Hotels Group, expressed delight in partnering with IHCL for their fifth property, saying, “The company’s pioneering efforts have put many destinations on the global tourist map. With this addition, IHCL now has nine hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands in Uttarakhand, including four properties currently under development. The resort in Naukuchiatal will further enhance IHCL’s presence in this scenic region, offering guests a memorable and tranquil experience amidst the natural beauty of Uttarakhand.
