IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Zon Hotels (Mumbai) Pvt Ltd to develop a 350-room luxury hotel in Mumbai’s western suburbs, a region witnessing rapid commercial and infrastructure growth.
The proposed project, expected to operate under the InterContinental brand, reflects rising demand for premium hospitality in the city’s western corridor, driven by corporate travel, MICE activity, and leisure demand. The MOU was signed on January 21, 2026, at Holiday Inn Mumbai.
The partnership brings together IHG’s global brand and operational expertise with Zon Hotels’ local development strengths. The hotel is expected to offer high-end accommodation, meeting facilities, and premium dining options, strengthening Mumbai’s luxury hospitality supply outside traditional business districts.
Once operational, the project is set to enhance the city’s hospitality infrastructure and reinforce Mumbai’s position as a leading business and leisure destination.
