Diageo India-backed brand expands to Mumbai after launches across four markets
Nuvola Spirits has launched Seoulmate Soju in Maharashtra, expanding the Korean-inspired soju brand into one of India’s largest premium beverage markets. The company, which is backed by United Spirits (Diageo India), had previously launched the brand in Goa, Delhi, Haryana and Karnataka.
Available in a 375 ml bottle at 15.5% ABV and priced at INR 650, Seoulmate Soju is made from rice distillate and is being positioned across bars, restaurants and premium retail outlets in Mumbai.
The portfolio includes an original soju variant along with six flavoured variants: Strawberry Mint, Pink Guava Chilli, Cola Vanilla, Watermelon Bubblegum, Black Grape and Peach Iced Tea.
The Mumbai launch is part of Nuvola Spirits’ wider expansion strategy as it seeks to build its portfolio in India’s evolving premium and flavoured spirits segment.
“Seoulmate Soju reflects our vision of making global drinking cultures accessible and relevant to Indian consumers,” said Aakriti Kochhar Sachdeva, Co-founder, Nuvola Spirits. “With its approachable profile and bold flavours, it’s designed to transform how young India experiences social drinking, and Mumbai’s vibrant nightlife scene is the perfect stage for that.”
The company said Seoulmate Soju combines Korean drinking culture with flavours tailored to Indian consumers and is designed for consumption across social occasions.
Nuvola Spirits is also the company behind Mikiamo Italian Liqueurs. Following the expansion of Seoulmate Soju and the recent Karnataka launch, the company is looking to build a wider presence across India’s premium spirits market.
