United Hospitality Management (UHM) India has appointed Ricardo Leal as Vice President Operations – India & Southeast Asia. In his new role, Ricardo will oversee operational performance across UHM-managed properties in the region, supporting the company’s expansion and long-term growth strategy.
Reporting to Deepika Arora, Managing Director, UHM India, Ricardo brings over two decades of global experience in luxury and ultra-luxury hospitality, with expertise spanning hotel operations, pre-openings, repositioning, and asset management.
The appointment comes as UHM accelerates its presence across high-growth hospitality markets in India and Southeast Asia. Ricardo will also oversee Southeast Asia operations and report directly to Klaus Assmann, Chief Executive Officer, UHM Middle East, India & Southeast Asia.
Commenting on the appointment, Deepika Arora said Ricardo’s leadership and global operational expertise will strengthen UHM’s focus on scalable growth, operational efficiency, and elevated guest experiences across the region.
