John Rider Wins Medal at Spirits Selection China – A Toast to the World

The Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) in it’s 26th year held at Guizhou-Renhuai, China, is an international spirits competition represents the epitome of excellence in the spirits world. It creates the excitement of uncovering rare finds and unique expressions that showcase the diversity and innovation within the spirits landscape worldwide.

The outstanding reputation of its selection process is one of the key components of the competition’s success. All series of spirits proposed for tasting to the international jury are of course served blind. The organization of the competition guarantees the total anonymity of the samples.

Reputable judges, renowned for their ability to assess spirits are rigorously chosen for the competition. This year in 2024, 130 international judges spanning 23 nationalities took part, tasting over 2800 spirit samples from across the world. A diversity that contributes to the uniqueness of the event and greater objectivity of results.

John Rider is a full-bodied, deep amber Single-malt Indian whisky that is both complex and approachable. The whisky is triple-distilled from 100% Indian malted barley and matured leisurely in American bourbon casks, before combining and finishing in Champagne casks, creating a whisky rich in dried fruit and nut flavors to give a smooth edge taste.

They evaluate to determine which are the most powerful and the most valuable by country, by industry.
