After a strong response to its debut initiative last year, The Oberoi Group has announced the second edition of The Oberoi Group Scholarship Program, aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders in the hospitality sector.
The program, launched in 2024, is designed to honour the legacy of Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi, founder of the Indian hotel industry, and Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi, who brought Indian luxury hospitality to global prominence. It offers selected professionals the opportunity to pursue an MBA in Hospitality at École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland, one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality schools.
Two scholarships are on offer again this year:

Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi – “Dare to Dream” Scholarship: Open to executives from hotels outside The Oberoi Group in India.

Mr. Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi – “Be the Best” Scholarship: Open to executives from The Oberoi Group’s hotels in India and overseas.
The MBA program blends virtual learning with a three-week immersive campus experience in Lausanne each year, along with a global best-practices tour of leading international hotels.
The inaugural edition saw Kritika Sharma, Executive Housekeeper at Taj West End, Bengaluru, and Alisha Rampal, Director – Food & Beverage at Trident, Bandra Kurla, Mumbai, win the two scholarships after a rigorous seven-stage selection process. Both are currently pursuing their MBA at EHL.
Reflecting on the initiative, Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman, The Oberoi Group, said the scholarships underscored the Group’s commitment to nurturing talent and carrying forward the values of its founders. Vikram Oberoi, CEO, added that the initiative reaffirms the Group’s belief in continuous learning and mentorship to shape the future of Indian hospitality.
The program has also received industry-wide support. K.B. Kachru, President, Hotels Association of India, called it a “transformative step” that will foster innovation and excellence across the sector.
By investing in education and international exposure, The Oberoi Group Scholarship Program aims to build a pipeline of leaders who will strengthen India’s position on the global hospitality map.
