Accor has appointed Ranju Alex as Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, a region where the hospitality group currently operates more than 70 hotels with an additional 30 in the pipeline.
A seasoned leader with over three decades of experience, Ranju was most recently Regional Vice President – South Asia at Marriott International, where she managed operations for more than 170 hotels. She began her career with The Oberoi Group in 1993 and went on to hold several senior leadership roles at Marriott, earning recognition for her contributions to the industry, including the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award.
Earlier this year, Accor and InterGlobe announced a new joint venture to consolidate their businesses under a single entity, subject to regulatory approvals.
Welcoming the appointment, Gaurav Bhushan, Chairman of the proposed Accor–InterGlobe JV, said:
