Partnership allows Maharaja Club members to earn points on IHG stays and IHG One Rewards members to convert points into Maharaja Points.
Air India and IHG Hotels & Resorts have entered into a loyalty partnership connecting Maharaja Club and IHG One Rewards, allowing members of both programmes to earn and exchange points across airline and hotel spends.
Under the partnership, Maharaja Club members earn 2 Maharaja Points for every US$1 spent at most IHG properties worldwide. Stays at Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels earn 1 Maharaja Point per US$1.
IHG One Rewards members can convert 1,000 IHG One Rewards points into 200 Maharaja Points, with 1,000 points being the minimum conversion threshold.
The partnership links IHG’s portfolio of more than 7,100 hotels across over 100 countries with Air India’s network across India and five continents.
As part of the launch, Maharaja Club members can earn 3x Maharaja Points on qualifying IHG stays from September 15 to December 31, 2026, subject to registration.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership would expand the reach of IHG One Rewards in India while creating additional opportunities for members to earn and use rewards.
Sunil Suresh, Head of Marketing, Loyalty and E-commerce, Air India, said the partnership extends Maharaja Club’s reach beyond air travel and supports its expansion across travel and lifestyle categories.
IHG One Rewards currently has more than 160 million members globally. In India, IHG operates 53 hotels across seven brands, with another 110 hotels in its pipeline for the next three to five years.
Air India has added more than 100 brands to the Maharaja Club partner network between FY2023 and FY2026. During FY2026, members recorded more than 4.2 million transactions across partner categories including travel, hospitality, lifestyle and everyday spending.
