Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) has launched the 80-room Swirl Transit Hotel at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), introducing short-stay accommodation within Terminal 1 for transit passengers, travellers with early departures and late arrivals, and those with extended layovers.
Located across two floors on the Arrivals Level, the hotel offers four-hour and overnight stays, along with shower facilities, dining and business amenities. The launch expands NMIA’s portfolio of non-aeronautical services and marks AAHL’s move to develop transit accommodation across its airport network.
“Swirl Transit Hotel brings accommodation into the airport environment, giving travellers greater flexibility to rest, work or refresh between flights. Navi Mumbai International Airport is being developed as a large-scale aviation and passenger services hub, and offerings such as Swirl add to the convenience of travelling through the airport. We see an opportunity to take this proposition to other airports across our network and build a wider transit hospitality offering,” said Suchit Bansal, Chief Executive Officer, Non-Aero Business, AAHL.
The hotel has 80 rooms across six categories, ranging from 130 sq. ft. to 410 sq. ft. These include Superior Single, Superior Double, Superior Twin, Superior Accessible, Junior Suite and Executive Suite rooms.
Facilities include high-speed Wi-Fi, smart televisions, dedicated workstations, electronic safes, tea and coffee facilities, in-room dining and hotel amenities. The property also provides express laundry, concierge assistance, 24-hour housekeeping, pick-up and drop services and wake-up calls.
The hotel has a 40-seat, 24-hour all-day dining restaurant, supported by round-the-clock in-room dining, grab-and-go options and a bar.
NMIA commenced commercial operations on 25 December 2025 and began international operations on 29 July 2026 with its first international flight to Abu Dhabi. The addition of the transit hotel comes as the airport continues to expand its passenger and commercial services.
AAHL will next extend the Swirl Transit Hotel concept to Lokpriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati. A 21-room property is planned on Level 3 of the Arrivals area within the airport-secured zone of Terminal 2.
The Guwahati property will offer hourly and overnight stays, dining and hospitality services, with dedicated workstations and meeting-friendly spaces for transit and business travellers.
The expansion forms part of AAHL’s broader strategy to grow non-aeronautical services across its airport portfolio, with transit accommodation emerging as an additional hospitality offering within the airport environment.
