Longitude 77, the premium Indian single malt from Pernod Ricard India, has expanded its national footprint with its launch in Hyderabad, marking another milestone in the brand’s growth journey. The unveiling was hosted at the iconic Taj Falaknuma Palace, where the brand celebrated Hyderabad’s cultural legacy through an evening of contemporary Indian luxury and curated whisky experiences.
Globally acclaimed for its quality and craftsmanship, Longitude 77 has earned multiple international honours, including Gold medals at the London Spirits Competition, The Global Spirit Masters by The Spirits Business, and Monde Selection, along with a Bronze at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. These accolades underscore the brand’s rising stature in the global whisky landscape.
Crafted by the master blenders behind celebrated international labels such as Chivas, Glenlivet, and Jameson, Longitude 77 draws on over 200 years of whisky-making expertise. The single malt is produced in small batches using locally sourced ingredients and undergoes double maturation in American bourbon barrels and wine casks, followed by additional ageing in Dindori, Nashik.
Renowned whisky critic Jim Murray praised the expression for its balance, complexity, and maturity, noting that it stands alongside some of the finest Scotch blends and single malts. Master Blender Mahesh Patil highlighted that the region’s cool, dry climate and precise maturation process lend the whisky its distinctive smoothness and depth.
Named after the 77° East longitude that runs through India, Longitude 77 reflects Pernod Ricard India’s focus on innovation and premium domestic production. The brand is currently available in key Indian markets, select duty-free outlets, and Dubai, and continues to expand across high-potential premium whisky markets in India.
