GRT Hotels & Resorts has launched Shore Temple Dialogues, a new industry platform focused on destination weddings, with its inaugural edition held at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram. The initiative brings together wedding planners, hospitality professionals, tourism stakeholders and event specialists to discuss trends shaping India’s luxury wedding market.
Hosted against the backdrop of the UNESCO-listed Shore Temple, the event focused on the growing prominence of Mahabalipuram as a destination wedding location and explored opportunities for the region within the country’s expanding wedding and celebration economy.
The inaugural forum featured discussions involving representatives from the events, hospitality and wedding planning sectors, including John Santhana Paul of The Chozhas Media & Entertainments, Nikhil Jetha of EWE Events, Ramkumar R of Varsham Events and Murugan Rajan, General Manager, Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram. The session was moderated by Jit Bose, Vice President – Commercial, GRT Hotels & Resorts.
Industry stakeholders discussed changing consumer preferences, destination-led celebrations, experiential wedding formats and the role of hospitality infrastructure in supporting the growth of the luxury wedding segment. The event also highlighted Mahabalipuram’s combination of heritage attractions, coastal settings and hospitality offerings, factors that have contributed to its rising profile among wedding planners and event organisers.
