Hilton has launched its lifestyle brand Motto by Hilton in Brazil with the opening of Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo, a 132-room hotel in the historic district of Recife.
The opening marks the brand’s debut in Brazil and Hilton’s first property in Recife, a major cultural and tourism destination known for its colonial architecture, waterways and Afro-Brazilian heritage.
Developed in partnership with REVPAR Incorporações, MUV Empreendimentos and Atlantica Hospitality International, the hotel is positioned in Recife Antigo, two blocks from the city’s landmark Marco Zero square.
Maxime Verstraete, Vice President, Brand Management, Caribbean and Latin America at Hilton, said the opening supports the company’s strategy of expanding its presence in key destinations across Latin America while introducing new brands in high-potential markets.
The property features 132 guestrooms designed to reflect the culture and landscapes of Pernambuco state. Interiors incorporate locally inspired elements, including Cordel literature-themed artwork, artisanal furnishings and regional design influences.
Guestrooms are equipped with multifunctional furniture and include 42 connecting rooms supported by Hilton’s Confirmed Connecting Room technology, allowing multiple rooms to be linked for families and groups.
The hotel also offers a rooftop restaurant serving breakfast with sea and river views, along with a ground-floor coffee shop designed to attract both hotel guests and local residents.
Hilton said the opening strengthens its lifestyle hotel portfolio as Motto by Hilton continues its global expansion. The company plans to significantly increase the brand’s footprint in the coming years, with more than 20 additional Motto properties currently under development worldwide.
Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo joins Hilton’s portfolio of more than 25 operating hotels in Brazil. The company is also advancing plans to add nearly 30 more properties across the country.
Across the Caribbean and Latin America region, Hilton currently operates nearly 300 hotels and resorts, with more than 160 properties in various stages of development and construction.
