Global hospitality giant Hilton plans to double its footprint in India over the next five years, with significant expansions across luxury and mid-market segments. The company announced its first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Bengaluru, set to open in 2026, and the debut of Signia by Hilton in Jaipur by 2028.
At its Hospitality Brand Showcase, Hilton highlighted its strategy to triple its luxury portfolio in India. Chris Nassetta, CEO of Hilton, emphasized, “India is critical to Hilton’s global growth strategy. It’s a dynamic market with immense potential across all brand segments.”
Alan Watts, Hilton’s Asia Pacific president, stated the company aims to grow its portfolio in India tenfold with SLA partners. In addition to luxury, Hilton will introduce 150 Spark by Hilton and 75 Hampton by Hilton hotels through partnerships, targeting states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Bihar.
Upcoming highlights include Jaipur welcoming the ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria and Conrad brands by 2027, while DoubleTree by Hilton, with 11 operational hotels, will expand to cities like Kochi and Chandigarh.
