Booking.com, a global leader in connecting travellers with accommodations, activities, and transport options, has unveiled the most welcoming regions in India based on over 309 million verified reviews from real travellers. Himachal Pradesh claimed the top spot, followed by Goa and Kerala. Additionally, Mararikulam, Jaisalmer, Bir, Leh, and Manali emerged as the top five most welcoming cities in India.
This year, India boasts 13,348 accommodation partners recognized for outstanding service and hospitality with the Traveller Review Award 2024, garnering over 1,189,000 reviews with an average score of 8.8.
The Traveller Review Award 2024 list showcases a diverse range of destinations across India, from scenic backwaters to historical sites and pristine beaches to mountain getaways. These destinations were selected based on the share of accommodation providers receiving a Traveller Review Award 2024.
Bengaluru leads as the city with the most-awarded properties in India (402), followed by Manali (342), New Delhi (339), Jaipur (277), and Udaipur (250). The most-awarded property types in Indiaare hotels, followed by homestays and apartments.
