Partnership brings two existing properties under Unscripted by Hyatt and adds two planned hotels near Jim Corbett National Park
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has signed agreements with Saraca Hotels & Resorts to bring four hotels across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand under its portfolio, expanding its presence in North India and introducing the Unscripted by Hyatt brand in India.
The partnership will bring Saraca Hotel Lucknow and Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett into the Unscripted by Hyatt portfolio. It also includes plans for two new properties near Jim Corbett National Park under the Destination by Hyatt and Hyatt Place brands.
The two existing properties comprise 85 rooms. Saraca Hotel Lucknow has 41 rooms, while Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett offers 44 rooms and suites across a nine-acre site.
Two new hotels planned near Corbett
The proposed Destination by Hyatt resort is planned across approximately 20 acres, with close to 111 accommodations, including villas, suites and residences. The development is expected to include multiple dining venues, wellness facilities, recreational offerings and event spaces.
The second property, Hyatt Place Jim Corbett Mohaan, is expected to feature 70 guestrooms, dining facilities, meeting spaces, a fitness centre and recreational amenities, catering to leisure and business travellers.
Together, the four properties will add more than 266 rooms and accommodation units to Hyatt’s portfolio in the two states, based on the announced inventory.
Unscripted by Hyatt enters India
The addition of the two existing Saraca properties will introduce Unscripted by Hyatt to the Indian market. Part of Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio, the brand is designed for independent hotels seeking to retain their individual identity while accessing Hyatt’s global distribution network and World of Hyatt loyalty programme.
Vikas Chawla, President, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt, said the collaboration would strengthen the company’s presence in destinations offering distinctive cultural and nature-led experiences.
Mohammad Abdullah, Founder, Saraca Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership would give the properties access to Hyatt’s global reach while retaining the destination-led character of the Saraca brand.
The agreement adds to Hyatt’s expansion across India’s leisure markets, with the proposed developments near Jim Corbett targeting demand for wildlife tourism, family holidays, wellness and group travel.
