In a landmark move coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, made its grand entry into Ekta Nagar with the inauguration of Vivanta Ekta Nagar and Ginger Ekta Nagar. The twin openings, unveiled during the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025 celebrations, mark a major milestone in IHCL’s expansion in Gujarat’s growing tourism hub.
“Today marks a momentous milestone for IHCL as we proudly unveil two new greenfield hotels in Ekta Nagar. This multi-brand debut reinforces our commitment to developing India’s tourism landscape and supporting Ekta Nagar’s rise as a world-class destination,” said Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL.
Located just three kilometres from the Statue of Unity, Vivanta Ekta Nagar offers 127 rooms and suites overlooking the Satpura and Vindhya ranges. The hotel blends modern design with local culture and features curated experiences such as the Narmada Aarti and visits to Shoolpaneshwar Temple and the Valley of Flowers.
Ginger Ekta Nagar, IHCL’s 75th operational hotel under the brand, embodies the group’s “lean luxe” philosophy with 151 rooms, a Qmin restaurant, fitness facilities, and a meeting room for business travellers.
With these openings, IHCL now boasts 39 hotels in Gujarat, including 17 under development, strengthening its position as a key player in India’s western hospitality landscape.
