IHCL introduces Carecations curated travel itineraries

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today introduces Carecations, a series of curated travel itineraries, helping guests to volunteer and support local communities on their travels. Under Paathya, IHCL’s framework of sustainability and social impact measures, the unique travel-centric initiative allows guests to embark on inspiring holidays specially envisaged to lead positive change for a better tomorrow.

Speaking on the initiative, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL said, “IHCL remains steadfast in its commitment towards the environment and serving the needs of the underprivileged communities to leave a positive impact. We are delighted to launch Carecations and extend an opportunity to our guests to make a difference while they are staying with us. This initiative aims to enhance every holiday with the option to give back to the community in numerous ways while providing a holistic, interactive, and enriching journey.”

From learning about the Molela Terracotta art of Udaipur in Rajasthan to walking with the Pardhis in Madhya Pradesh, to rehabilitating the corals in the seas at the Maldives to reviving coir crafts at Malabar in Kerala, the holiday itineraries and activities enable direct interaction between guests and the beneficiaries, allowing both to discover a rich bank of knowledge and stories. The thoughtfully curated two nights and three day stay offers will be accentuated with excursions spent on purposeful activities.

Journeys taken under the Carecation initiative will directly impact beneficiaries and will allow travellers to take back memories of touching someone’s life in an impactful manner. Carecations are available at select Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and amã Stays & Trails destinations.
