The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) achieved a prestigious milestone at the ABP Smart Education Summit 2025, receiving the ‘Excellence in Global Hospitality Education’ award. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presented the accolade, recognizing IIHM’s leadership in integrating global standards and innovative technologies into hospitality education.
Minister Pradhan praised IIHM for its visionary approach, stating, “IIHM has redefined hospitality education by creating global opportunities from Indian classrooms, contributing significantly to India’s soft power.”
Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman of IIHM and a global leader in AI for hospitality, emphasized, “This recognition reinforces our commitment to inclusive, future-ready education that positions India as the epicenter of hospitality learning.”
Dr. Bose’s 2024 book, Harmonizing Human Touch and AI in Tourism & Hospitality, offers a roadmap for ethical AI integration in the industry. IIHM’s groundbreaking initiatives, such as NamAIste—the world’s first GPT for hospitality—further showcase India’s technological leadership.
IIHM also spearheaded the Global Knowledge Sharing Declaration, uniting over 60 countries to foster equitable AI innovation and inclusive hospitality education worldwide.
