MICE industry is set to become a key economic driver, generating high-quality jobs, said Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at the “Meet in India Conclave 2025.” Organised alongside the 14th Great Indian Travel Bazaar in Jaipur, the event highlighted India’s potential to transform into a global MICE hub.
Shekhawat emphasised India’s robust infrastructure, including iconic venues like Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, along with seamless connectivity through operational airports and advanced railways. He announced plans to elevate 10 Indian cities into world-class MICE destinations, supported by states like Rajasthan, which is blending heritage with modern infrastructure.
The India MICE market, which generated USD 49.4 billion in 2024, is projected to reach USD 103.7 billion by 2030. Recent developments in cities like Varanasi and Khajuraho are accelerating this growth. Deputy CM of Rajasthan, Diya Kumari, emphasised her state’s strategic focus on MICE tourism to drive innovation and global visibility.
