As Mumbai strengthens its position as a global hub for business and tourism, large-format integrated hospitality developments are gaining traction, driven by rising demand for MICE infrastructure and premium accommodation. Against this backdrop, the K Raheja Group, in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled a major hospitality project in Powai, marking a significant addition to the city’s evolving hotel landscape.
The development, which includes a dual hotel complex and a large-format convention centre, was formally marked by a pre-opening puja ceremony attended by Devendra Fadnavis, underscoring the project’s scale and strategic importance.
Strategic development
The project, scheduled to open in 2026, will feature around 300 keys, 13 meeting rooms, four food and beverage outlets, and expansive event and outdoor spaces. Designed as an integrated hospitality ecosystem, it aims to cater to both corporate and leisure segments while strengthening Mumbai’s MICE capabilities.
The collaboration reflects a growing trend of partnerships between real estate developers and global hotel operators to create destination-led developments that combine accommodation, events, and experiential offerings.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayta Raheja highlighted the broader investment climate in the state, stating, “Maharashtra continues to lead as one of India’s most progressive and investment-friendly states, driven by a strong focus on infrastructure, ease of doing business, and forward-looking governance under the leadership of our dynamic Chief Minister. Developments such as these further strengthen the state’s position as a preferred destination for tourism, business, and global investments.”

Highlighting the importance of such developments, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasised their role in enhancing the city’s global positioning. He noted that large-scale integrated projects play a vital role in strengthening Mumbai’s standing as a destination for tourism, business, and international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), while congratulating the K Raheja Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts on the initiative.
