The Oberoi Group has opened The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, Khajuraho, a restored 350-year-old Bundela-era monument, reinforcing the brand’s push into experiential heritage assets in culturally dense, nature-linked markets.
Set within a 76-acre estate featuring a natural lake and Sal–Palash forest cover, the property is located near Panna National Park & Tiger Reserve and the UNESCO World Heritage Khajuraho temples. The group confirmed the palace was revived through archival-grade conservation blended with modern hospitality infrastructure, positioning it for global inbound demand.
Executive Chairman Arjun Oberoi said the restoration prioritised architectural fidelity and sensitive design integration. CEO Vikram Oberoi described the opening as part of the group’s long-term portfolio strategy of developing luxury destinations anchored in heritage, sustainability, and market-relevant experiences.
The palace operates 65 rooms and suites, including two-bedroom pool suites, private garden units, and terrace rooms with 360-degree hill views. Three F&B concepts debut at launch: Maanya (royal recipes, dinner-only), Neerangan (all-day Indian and global menu, lakeside), and Amrava (cocktails and small plates). Banquet capacity spans 440 sq m indoors (200 guests) and 518 sq m outdoors, targeting curated weddings and selective corporate events.
The group also disclosed sustainability integrations covering solar power, full water recycling, LED lighting, waste conversion, and a zero-carbon in-house water bottling unit, strengthening compliance with India’s responsible luxury frameworks.
