Radisson Blu Greater Noida has introduced a cigarette waste recycling program in partnership with BuffIndia, making it one of the first hotels in the region to tackle cigarette waste responsibly. While maintaining its non-smoking policy indoors, the hotel has installed three designated disposal units at key outdoor locations.
Since its launch in May 2025, the initiative has collected 0.45 kg of cigarette waste (1,350 butts), all of which has been 100% recycled, preventing microplastic leakage and conserving over 135,000 litres of water resources.
The program also supports livelihoods, providing work for 48 labourers and 22 stay-at-home mothers, while promoting responsible disposal among over 5 lakh people nationwide.
