Belgium-headquartered Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has announced an aggressive expansion strategy for India, targeting 500 hotels and a 50,000-strong workforce by 2030. The plan, which will effectively double its current portfolio and triple its employee base, underscores India’s growing importance as one of the group’s fastest-expanding markets globally.
As part of its roadmap, RHG aims to strengthen its presence beyond metro cities, tapping into Tier 2 and Tier 3 destinations that are witnessing a surge in domestic travel and business activity. The expansion will generate thousands of new jobs across hotel operations, management, and allied services — a major boost for India’s hospitality employment landscape.
With this move, Radisson joins the ranks of global hospitality chains deepening their footprint in India, signalling strong confidence in the country’s tourism-led economic growth. The company said it will continue to focus on developing local talent and investing in skill-building initiatives to support its ambitious workforce goals.
