Radisson Resort Pondicherry Bay, a part of GRT Hotels & Resorts, hosted a press conference at Radisson Blu Hotel & Suites GRT Chennai to celebrate Puducherry’s inclusion in Lonely Planet’s “Best in Travel 2025” list as the world’s second-best destination. The event, attended by the Minister of PWD, Tourism & Aviation, K. Lakshminarayanan, and GRT CEO Mr. Vikram Cotah, highlighted development plans aimed at positioning Puducherry as a global tourism hub.
Radisson Resort Pondicherry Bay launched the “Experience Pondicherry – Lonely Planet’s Pick” package, offering guests a curated itinerary featuring local culinary delights, guided city tours, discounts on spa and F&B services, and unique farewell gifts to celebrate Pondicherry’s global recognition.
Additionally, the resort unveiled GReaT Green Meetings, an eco-friendly initiative empowering corporate guests to host sustainable events with carbon footprint tracking, low-carbon menus, and single-use plastic-free practices. Partnerships with Viruksham Foundation and EcoIndex further enhance the initiative, offsetting event emissions and advancing green hospitality.
Vikram Cotah also introduced his book, The GReaT Butterfly Effect, chronicling GRT’s sustainability journey. “We’re proud to celebrate Pondicherry’s milestone while redefining responsible hospitality,” said Cotah.
