Global real estate advisory firm Savills has acquired a majority interest in Hotelivate, marking a strategic move to strengthen its hospitality advisory capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership will operate under a unified brand, Hotelivate-Savills, combining sector expertise with global reach.
Strategic Expansion in a High-Growth Market
The acquisition comes at a time when hospitality assets across Asia Pacific are gaining prominence as core institutional investments. Strong operating performance, increasing branded supply, and rising cross-border capital flows have significantly elevated investor interest in the sector.
With mandates becoming larger and more complex, the need for integrated advisory services—spanning strategy, capital structuring, and transaction execution—has grown substantially. The Hotelivate-Savills platform aims to address this demand through a unified, full-service model.
Combining Expertise and Global Reach
Hotelivate has built a strong reputation over the past decade as a specialist hospitality advisory firm in South Asia, working with developers, owners, operators, and institutional investors. Its services span feasibility studies, operator selection, asset management, and transaction advisory.
Through this partnership, Hotelivate will retain its leadership team, entrepreneurial culture, and specialist focus, while gaining access to Savills’ global network across more than 70 countries. Existing offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, Dubai, Jakarta, and Singapore will continue operations, now with expanded regional connectivity.
Leadership Perspectives
Martin Fidden, CEO of Savills Asia Pacific (ex-Greater China), highlighted South Asia as a priority growth market, noting that the acquisition reflects the company’s long-term commitment to expanding into specialised sectors such as hospitality advisory.
Anurag Mathur, CEO of Savills India, described the deal as a significant milestone in the firm’s India journey, adding that the investment will enable deeper, more integrated advisory services aligned with evolving market opportunities.
Manav Thadani, Founder and Chairman of Hotelivate, emphasised that the partnership will help scale the firm’s platform in a more institutional manner while preserving its core strengths of sector expertise and client relationships.
Creating an Integrated Advisory Platform
The newly formed Hotelivate-Savills platform will combine hospitality-specific insights with Savills’ broader capabilities across capital markets, valuations, project management, and cross-border advisory. The integrated model is expected to provide clients with end-to-end solutions, from strategic planning to execution.
As the hospitality sector continues to evolve into a key real estate asset class, this collaboration positions Hotelivate-Savills to play a pivotal role in shaping investment and development strategies across the APAC region.
