A 50-member delegation from the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan visited the Lok Sabha to raise key industry concerns and highlight opportunities for strengthening tourism in the state.
The delegation, led by office bearers including Hussain Khan (Jaipur), Ashok Maheshwari (Kota), Bikaner Division President Gopal Agrawal, and Secretary Khushal Pareek, met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Avinash Gehlot and Jaipur Rural MP Rajendra Rao were also present.
Hospitality and tourism-related challenges formed the core of the discussion. Speaker Birla promptly reached out to Union Tourism Minister G.S. Shekhawat, who later engaged with the federation. Members shared their issues and suggestions, seeking targeted measures to support hotel businesses and strengthen Rajasthan’s tourism ecosystem.
Minister Shekhawat acknowledged the hotel sector’s pivotal role in driving tourist inflows and assured the delegation that viable solutions would be explored.
The visit underscored the hospitality industry’s growing engagement with policymakers to align state and national tourism strategies with the sector’s on-ground realities.
