Hyatt Place Aurangabad Creates a Splash in the Historic City

The opening of Hyatt Place Aurangabad Airport marks the debut of the first international hotel in the historic city. The 150-room property effectively showcases the Hyatt Place brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere, and elevated amenities. It also marks the second Hyatt Place hotel in the state of Maharashtra and the eleventh Hyatt Place hotel in the country – reiterating the brand’s significance in the India market.

Q. In a brutally competitive hospitality landscape in Aurangabad, how does your hotel distinguish itself?

A.  Well, Hyatt Place brings many unique offerings to the independent business traveler including  proximity to the airport which is highly convenient and takes the sting out of a tired traveler’s journey from his original city. Located near both Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Airport and the city’s economic zones such as Shendra MIDC and Waluj MIDC, we also offer an easy-to-navigate experiences for meetings to today’s multi-tasking traveler.

Hyatt Place offers a seamless experience from work to relaxation for guests.  For the bleisure travelers especially, or those looking to combine business and leisure or those traveling with families even, we offer diverse facilities including multiple dining options — all-day dining Zing, Zing Bar and The Market. We have specialized event and meeting spaces, a fitness center, and a swimming pool which make for a rich combination of offerings.

Q. Please comment on your hotel’s design and rooms?

A. Our standard category rooms are  374 sq. ft. the largest in the city that enhances the in-room experience of our guests. Also, high ceilings in the lobby and restaurants make for a brighter happier place and our guests comment that the property emits a “happy vibe”!

Each of the hotel’s 150 rooms is designed and outfitted with a state-of-the-art media and work center, a 55-inch Smart TV, a comfortable corner sofa and aesthetically designed bathroomsthat optimize all resources. Five suites each with a balcony, one King Suite and elevated décor and furnishings allow guests to unwind in their own private outdoor space with a pool view.

Q. What facilities do you offer for MICE and weddings?

We offer over 50,000 square feet of specialized event spaces including outdoor spaces to accommodate events of any size, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations with a strict eye on sustainable use of resources. The property features multiple wedding venues with indoor and outdoor options including one of the city’s largest modern pillarless ballrooms; a lush green lawn with a breathtaking view of the surround hills and multiple meeting spaces equipped with the latest audiovisual equipment. We also have a large space for weddings and our own banqueting and events team make organizing weddings a thoroughly pleasurable experience for families.

Q. Aurangabad is a heritage city peppered with unique historic sites. What features do you extend to those looking to visit these sites and enjoy local flavors?

A. Our property is located close to nearby tourist attractions such as historical landmark, Bibi ka Maqbara. We provide guests with easy access to the renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Ajanta and Ellora caves. We have a 24-hour car fleet service for transportation to these locations and also offer excellent heritage guides to make the guests’ experience to these places rich and wholesome.

To further offer a local flavor to our guests, our room décor have unique features such as Paithani art and handicrafts. We also hire locally as much as possible, and offer regional dishes in our restaurants to amp up the local experience for visitors.

Q. At a time when sustainability has become a buzzword in the hospitality sector, what is your property doing to tread lightly on the planet?

A. Our aesthetically designed hotel is fitted with pioneering eco-friendly features such as an on-site water bottling plant that ensures a consistent and high-quality water supply for all operations. An organic waste converter underscores the hotel’s commitment to sustainability by recycling food waste and promoting eco-friendly practices. All of the hotel’s packaging materials are green further bolstering its sustainable ecosystem. Self-generated solar energy powers the outlet’s operations while a sewage treatment plant recycles wastewater for use in horticulture, cooling towers and other operational needs promoting water conservation.
