Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state’s hospitality industry has significant growth potential, backed by focused promotion of forest, religious and cultural tourism, along with investment-linked incentives for hotel developers.
Addressing an industry summit in Indore through a video message, Yadav said the state government is encouraging new hospitality projects with subsidies of up to 30 per cent for large investments. “Madhya Pradesh has immense possibilities in hospitality. We are actively supporting tourism across segments and expect a strong pipeline of new hotel projects,” he said.
The summit was organised to build awareness around the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules 2025, notified under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and their implications for the hospitality sector. The event was hosted by the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) in collaboration with the Hotel & Restaurant Association Western India (HRAWI).
State Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat also addressed the gathering. Industry leaders present included FHRAI President Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, HRAWI President Jimmy Shaw, FHRAI Secretary Girish Oberoi and Sumit Suri, Executive Committee Member, HRAWI and President, Indore Hotel Association.
The discussions focused on strengthening industry preparedness, regulatory clarity and sector-specific compliance under India’s evolving data protection framework.
