Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL) signed 20 new hotels and opened 11 properties during the first quarter of FY27, taking its overall portfolio to 645 hotels as it advances towards its 700-hotel target under the Accelerate 2030strategy.
The company said its portfolio, as of June 30, 2026, comprised 382 operational hotels and a pipeline of 263 properties. Of the 20 hotel signings during the April-June quarter, 17 were under its growth brands—Gateway, Ginger and Tree of Life.
The new projects are spread across emerging destinations including Bharatpur, Trichy, Sindhudurg, Jawai and Wayanad, while also strengthening IHCL’s presence in established markets such as Mumbai, Goa, Agra and Kolkata.
IHCL’s flagship Taj brand also crossed a milestone of 150 hotels with three new signings in Dharamshala, Barapani (Meghalaya) and Kusur Valley (Maharashtra). Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, said the company continues to focus on expanding its growth brands while strengthening the Taj portfolio in key leisure destinations.
During the quarter, IHCL expanded internationally by opening Taj Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt and Taj Bush Lodge in Greater Kruger, South Africa. In India, the company opened new hotels under the SeleQtions, Gateway and Gingerbrands across Ayodhya, Mumbai, Kandla, Hyderabad, Agra, Kota, Gadchiroli and Siwan.
IHCL said it remains ontrack to achieve its strategic goal of a 700-hotel portfolio under its Accelerate 2030 roadmap, reinforcing its leadership in India’s hospitality sector.
