According to Business Insider, Zomato has announced Odisha as the second state in which the company will be home delivering alcohol. Earlier, the company had begun the service in Jharkhand. According to ET, MHA on Tuesday asked the States to issue directions to refund quarantine charges of seven-days at hotel stay, as the period of institutional quarantine had been reduced from 14 days to seven days. A statement released by the hotel said that online payment options will be proactively suggested for a seamless arrival experience. In order to avoid unwanted crowding at liquor shops, Jharkhand government has roped in food start-ups like Swiggy and Zomato to deliver liquor at people’s doorsteps in some of the big cities like Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Bokaro.
