Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited has expanded its national footprint with the opening of Zone Connect by The Park Patna, marking the group’s first hotel in Bihar and signalling growing confidence in the state’s hospitality potential.
Positioned as a city resort, the new property is designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering contemporary accommodation alongside a broad mix of lifestyle and event-led amenities. The hotel is located approximately 17 km from Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport and is also well connected to the upcoming Bihta airport, enhancing its accessibility for corporate and regional travellers.
The property features a combination of rooms and cottages, supported by Café C, an all-day dining restaurant, and an in-house bakery. Leisure and wellness facilities include a gymnasium, spa, swimming pool and a dedicated children’s play area. For the meetings and events segment, the hotel offers indoor and outdoor venues capable of hosting up to 1,000 guests, positioning it as a key destination for conferences, weddings and social gatherings in the region.
The hotel has been developed in partnership with Ramanujam Resorts Pvt Ltd. Commenting on the collaboration, Pramod Kumar, Director, Ramanujam Resorts, said the association with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels would extend beyond Patna, with both partners exploring opportunities for further expansion across the region.
From the operator’s perspective, the launch reflects a strategic entry into an emerging market. Vikas Ahluwalia, General Manager and National Head, Zone by The Park Hotels, highlighted Bihar’s improving infrastructure, rising economic activity and increasing demand from both corporate and leisure travellers as key drivers behind the decision to enter the state.
The announcement comes at a time when Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy across India. On the markets front, shares of the company closed 1.72% higher at lINR129 on the day of the announcement, reflecting positive investor sentiment around the group’s expansion plans.
With the Patna opening, Zone by The Park strengthens its presence in eastern India while positioning itself to tap into Bihar’s evolving hospitality landscape.
