India’s largest tourism policy event, the FAITH Conclave 2025, is set to take place on August 12–13 at The Taj Palace, New Delhi. Organised by the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH), the conclave carries the theme “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit” and aims to create a unified national agenda to transform India into a global tourism leader by 2047.
The conclave will bring together key government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders for the most comprehensive tourism policy dialogue since the pandemic. Chaired by Padma Shri awardee Ajeet Bajaj and co-chaired by FAITH General Secretary Rajiv Mehra, the event reflects the commitment of India’s travel and hospitality sector to long-term, transformational goals. Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd., currently serves as Chair of the FAITH Board.
Ajay Prakash, FAITH Vice Chair, described the conclave as a national movement to lay the foundation for a USD3 trillion tourism economy with 100 million foreign tourist arrivals and 20 billion domestic visits by 2047. The agenda will focus on centre-state-industry collaboration, increasing inbound tourism, constitutional reforms to make tourism a concurrent subject, export industry status, and GST rationalisation across the sector.
The event will also highlight strategies to promote rural, wellness, and spiritual tourism, as well as create destination-specific marketing and infrastructure plans. Senior dignitaries expected include Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, DONER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, and prominent industry voices such as Amitabh Kant, Rajesh Magow of MakeMyTrip, Pieter Elbers of IndiGo, Anil Chadha of ITC Hotels, and others.
FAITH represents a collective voice of India’s top tourism and hospitality associations, including ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, and TAFI, with AIRDA as a cause partner. The conclave underscores tourism’s vital role in India’s economic future and echoes the Prime Minister’s G20 message: “Terrorism divides, but tourism unites.”
