The Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) successfully concluded its three-day culinary event, Distin-GU-ISH-ED 2025, at its Gurugram campus. The competition showcased India’s finest culinary talents, featuring aspiring chefs, home bakers, and seasoned professionals.
With the theme “Celebrating Excellence Across the Culinary Spectrum,” the event brought together participants from across the country. It highlighted not only the diversity of India’s culinary heritage but also the innovation and creativity of its emerging talent.
The event’s inaugural day focused on young chefs who demonstrated technical mastery and innovation. A hands-on workshop titled “Breaking Boundaries with Fusion Cuisine” provided a platform for students to explore global and Indian flavor combinations, guided by industry experts.
On the second day, home bakers and chefs impressed judges and attendees with reimagined traditional recipes and modern creations. A highlight of the day was the masterclass “The Art of Artisan Baking,” offering valuable insights into handcrafted baking techniques.
The grand finale featured industry professionals showcasing their skills through innovative presentations. A panel discussion on “Sustainability in the Culinary World” concluded the event, emphasizing the importance of responsible sourcing, zero-waste practices, and plant-forward menus in shaping the future of food.
Winners across categories received trophies and hampers sponsored by Nestlé and Ditya. The event recognized 48 winners in total, celebrating their excellence and potential to drive the culinary industry forward.
