Leisure Hotels Group (LHG), one of North India’s leading experiential resort operators, has strengthened its presence in Uttarakhand with the launch of Samsara Resort, a luxury boutique mountain retreat in Mussoorie. The opening marks the group’s 15th property in the state and further reinforces its position in Uttarakhand’s growing hospitality landscape.
Situated amidst the hills of Mussoorie, often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills,” the resort is designed to offer guests an immersive mountain experience that combines contemporary comforts with the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Spread across two acres of hillside terrain, Samsara Resort features 21 accommodations, including luxury suites, experiential mushroom tents, and glamping domes overlooking the Himalayan landscape. Select domes are equipped with private Jacuzzis, while landscaped gardens, recreation spaces, and expansive outdoor areas enhance the property’s appeal for families, couples, and leisure travellers.
Commenting on the launch, Vibhas Prasad, Director, Leisure Hotels Group, said, “Samsara Resort reflects our commitment to expanding experiential hospitality offerings across Uttarakhand’s most iconic destinations. Mussoorie continues to be one of India’s most sought-after hill stations, and with Samsara, we aim to create a distinctive mountain retreat that blends immersive experiences, regional character, and warm hospitality.”
The resort’s culinary programme showcases the flavours of Uttarakhand, with an all-day dining experience that combines traditional Garhwali recipes with international favourites, prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
Beyond accommodation, the property offers curated experiences including nature walks, heritage trails through Mussoorie and Landour, outdoor picnics, night walks, and destination-led excursions that allow guests to engage more deeply with the region.
According to Prasad, the resort has been designed to deliver a more meaningful and immersive way of experiencing Mussoorie, while maintaining a strong connection with the destination’s culture and landscape.
Speaking about the partnership, Manav Gupta, Promoter, Samsara Resort, said, “Samsara was envisioned as a sanctuary where guests can reconnect with nature while enjoying thoughtful luxury in the mountains. Through our association with Leisure Hotels Group, we look forward to creating a hospitality experience that showcases Mussoorie’s natural beauty, heritage, and enduring appeal.”
The launch comes at a time when infrastructure improvements are expected to further boost tourism in the region. The upcoming Delhi–Dehradun Expressway is anticipated to significantly reduce travel time and improve connectivity, making Mussoorie increasingly attractive for weekend getaways and longer mountain vacations.
With the addition of Samsara Resort, Leisure Hotels Group continues to strengthen its portfolio of destination-driven properties across Uttarakhand, catering to the growing demand for experiential, nature-focused, and luxury travel experiences.
