The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI conducted FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC), on 26th November, 2025 at the Kohinoor Hotel in Diu. The programme had Dr Ashok Kunchala, MD, Medical Officer, Govt. Hospital Diu and Designated Officer, Diu district, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, as the Special Guest. The session, attended by 39 hospitality professionals, covered essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management. The training program was conducted by Mr Praveen Andrews of Parikshan where participants gained practical insights to strengthen food safety measures within their establishments, reinforcing industry best practices.
The event was inaugurated by Praveen Andrews, Trainer, Parikshan FSS Ltd; Dr Ashok Kunchala and Yatin Fugro – Executive Committee Member and Union Territory Coordinator Diu, HRAWI.
HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,671 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC training programmes. The Association is committed to promoting a culture of food safety and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in their daily operations.
