Sula Vineyards, India’s most awarded wine producer, has begun the new year with the launch of The Source Chardonnay Reserve, expanding its premium The Source portfolio. Crafted from select vineyards and oak-fermented, the new release is positioned as a refined, dry white wine that highlights the balance of richness, complexity, and freshness.
A medium-bodied Chardonnay with 13% ABV, the wine features honeyed aromas complemented by subtle vanilla notes, delivering a smooth and layered palate. The oak fermentation enhances depth and texture while preserving vibrancy, reflecting Sula’s focus on precision winemaking and terroir-driven expression.
The Source Chardonnay Reserve is aimed at premium dining and celebratory occasions, pairing well with creamy pastas, grilled seafood, roast chicken, and artisanal cheeses. The Source range has gained strong traction among wine enthusiasts, supported by earlier releases including a widely acclaimed Pinot Noir.
Commenting on the launch, Gorakh Gaikwad, COO and Chief Winemaker, Sula Vineyards, said the wine was crafted to showcase the elegance of Chardonnay through careful oak treatment and balanced freshness, resulting in a confident yet approachable expression.
Priced at INR1,250 for a 750 ml bottle and INR685 for a 375 ml bottle, The Source Chardonnay Reserve is now available across Maharashtra, with a rollout in Karnataka planned in the coming months.
