Corona Cero India Launch Strengthens Non-Alcohol Beer Push
Global brewer AB InBev has introduced Corona Cero in India, marking the debut of the zero-alcohol variant of its flagship Corona portfolio in the country. Priced at INR 120, CoronaCorona Cero will be available across modern trade, e-commerce platforms and select on-premise outlets nationwide, as the company accelerates its bet on India’s fast-emerging non-alcohol beer segment.
The move comes at a time when India’s non-alcohol beer category, though still nascent, is gaining momentum, recording nearly 25 percent growth last year. AB InBev India reported high double-digit growth in the segment, significantly ahead of industry averages, underscoring rising consumer interest in mindful drinking options without compromising on taste.
Vineet Sharma, Vice President – Marketing & Trade Marketing, AB InBev India, said the launch aligns with evolving consumer preferences. “Corona Cero delivers the refreshment and flavour people associate with Corona, now with zero alcohol,” he said, adding that the brand aims to expand access to premium alcohol-free choices across occasions.
Non-Alcohol Beer Growth in India Gains Cultural Momentum
Corona Cero made its India debut at Magnetic Fields Nomads 2026 in Rajasthan, where the brand introduced an alcohol-free sunrise bar experience. The activation positioned Corona Cero within curated lifestyle spaces centred on slow living and authentic connection.
The brand has also partnered with singer-songwriter Anuv Jain during his recent India tour, further embedding itself in the country’s evolving music culture.
The rollout supports AB InBev’s global Smart Drinking Goals, focused on promoting responsible consumption and reshaping social norms around alcohol.
