IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd to develop the InterContinental Resort Jaipur Achrol, further strengthening its luxury hospitality presence in India.
Scheduled to open in early 2030, the 225-key luxury resort will include 189 guest rooms and 36 villas. Spread across 16 acres along the Delhi–Jaipur highway in Achrol, the property will become the fourth IHG-branded hotel in the Jaipur region and the second InterContinental property in the market.
The resort is being positioned as a premium leisure and celebrations destination, targeting both vacation travellers and the growing wedding and events segment in Rajasthan.
Sudeep Jain said India continues to offer strong opportunities in luxury hospitality, driven by increasing demand for leisure travel and destination-led celebrations. He noted that the project reflects IHG’s strategy to expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio across key growth destinations in the country.
He added that Achrol is emerging as an attractive tourism destination near Jaipur due to its blend of heritage, natural surroundings and accessibility.
Rajan Jhiriwal said the partnership with IHG marks an important step in the company’s vision to create internationally benchmarked hospitality destinations rooted in Rajasthan’s cultural identity and heritage.
Robin Jhiriwal added that the resort aims to enhance the region’s luxury hospitality offerings through authentic experiences, thoughtful design and premium services.
The upcoming resort will feature four dining venues, including an all-day restaurant, specialty restaurant, lobby lounge and pool bar. Additional facilities will include a ballroom, event venues, spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, retail outlets and dedicated spaces for weddings and social gatherings.
Jaipur remains one of India’s leading tourism and wedding destinations, attracting visitors through landmarks such as Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar and the historic Walled City.
IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India, including Six Senses, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. The company also has 98 hotels in development and aims to exceed 400 operational and pipeline hotels in India over the next five years.
