Recognition honours his contribution to India’s tourism and hospitality sector
KB Kachru, President, Hotel Association of India (HAI) and Chairman – South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, has been conferred the IATO Hall of Fame Award 2026 for his contribution to India’s tourism and hospitality industry.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naidu at the 41st IATO Annual Convention in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on September 11. The ceremony was attended by tourism ministers, senior government officials and industry representatives from several states, along with IATO President Ravi Gosain and the association’s leadership.
The IATO Hall of Fame recognises individuals whose sustained leadership has contributed to the growth of India’s tourism and travel ecosystem.
Kachru has been with Radisson Hotel Group since 1998 and has played a key role in the growth of its South Asia business. He continues to serve on the Group’s South Asia governing boards.
“The IATO Hall of Fame Award 2026 is an honour I accept with humility, and I share it with the many colleagues, institutions and professionals whose partnership has shaped this journey,” said Kachru.
He added that India’s tourism and hospitality sector is entering a period of significant opportunity, driven by technology, sustainability and Indian hospitality.
Kachru also serves as President of HAI, Governing Member of the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council of India and a member of the CII Tourism Committee. He has previously held board positions with state tourism corporations and IHM New Delhi.
