DRRK Foods, the legacy brand behind the globally acclaimed Crown Basmati Rice, is making a decisive move into India’s fast-growing HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) sector. Backed by decades of expertise and exports to over 60 countries, the company now aims to strengthen its domestic presence through targeted expansion in key cities—including Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad—with the goal of generating INR 100 crore in revenue from the segment.
With a turnover exceeding INR 1,000 crore, DRRK Foods is positioning its premium rice offerings to meet the evolving needs of professional kitchens, hotels, institutional buyers, and catering services.
“Our journey with Crown Basmati has earned global acclaim, and we’re proud to bring that same excellence to India’s vibrant HORECA market,” said Vikram Marwaha, JMD, DRRK Foods. “This expansion is more than a business strategy—it’s a reaffirmation of our legacy, a deeper domestic engagement, and a direct response to the evolving demands of India’s culinary sector.”
As part of its broader growth vision, DRRK Foods aims to scale total revenue from INR 1,000+ crore in FY25 to INR 2,500 crore by FY27. The growth will be fuelled by a new state-of-the-art processing facility in Madhya Pradesh and a strengthened B2B foodservice network, which has seen robust post-pandemic recovery and rising quality benchmarks.
Currently exporting over 80% of its premium rice to the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and expanding in the US, Europe, and Australia, DRRK Foods is also reinforcing its presence in modern retail, e-commerce, and quick commerce—ensuring Crown Basmati remains accessible to quality-conscious households across India.
