Ginger currently has a portfolio of 250 hotels, including 100 operating properties, 95 under development and 55 hotels under brand migration, which are scheduled to be rebranded by March 31, 2027.
The brand is also strengthening its presence across key travel hubs, with upcoming properties including a 325-key hotel at Bengaluru International Airport, a 300-key hotel at Manohar International Airport in Goa, a more than 200-key hotel at Mumbai Terminal 2 and a 200-key property at Kolkata Airport.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President, Select Service Business, IHCL, said, “Reaching the milestone of 100 operating Ginger hotels is a significant moment in the brand’s journey, towards achieving its Accelerate 2030 goals. As India’s economy continues to grow and infrastructure expands, the mid-scale hospitality segment is witnessing strong demand across established and emerging markets. Having pioneered this category in India, Ginger has evolved into a lean luxe offering that is aligned with the expectations of today’s travellers.”
According to IHCL, Ginger’s expansion is being supported by a scalable operating model and a mix of operating leases, selective investments and strategic partnerships.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “With its scalable model, high-margin profile and ability to penetrate markets wide and deep, Ginger continues to serve as a key growth engine for IHCL, expanding through a combination of operating leases, selective investments and strategic partnerships across India.”
Ginger operates in the mid-scale segment with a focus on contemporary design, efficient spaces and its “Simply Better” brand proposition. Its Qmin all-day diner is positioned as a food and workspace offering for guests.
