Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a cluster of amã Stays & Trails bungalows in Port Blair, marking the brand’s entry into the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and strengthening its presence in emerging leisure destinations.
The upcoming development will comprise ten bungalows set within landscaped surroundings, located within walking distance of Manjery Beach. The property is designed to offer an experience-led stay, integrating wellness and recreation amenities including a spa, gym, swimming pool, and dedicated yoga and meditation decks, alongside a restaurant offering curated dining experiences.
This expansion aligns with IHCL’s strategy to scale its homestay portfolio in response to growing demand for personalised and immersive travel. The amã Stays & Trails brand, which currently operates over 370 bungalows across India, focuses on delivering culturally rooted hospitality experiences across diverse leisure locations.
Port Blair, serving as the gateway to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, continues to gain traction as a tourism hub, driven by its blend of natural landscapes, marine experiences, and heritage assets such as Cellular Jail and nearby coastal destinations. The project is expected to further strengthen the region’s premium accommodation offerings while catering to evolving traveller preferences centred around privacy, wellness, and experiential stays.
With this signing, IHCL continues to diversify its leisure portfolio, leveraging destination-led growth and expanding into high-potential island and resort markets.
