Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International’s portfolio, has opened Le Méridien Dehradun Resort & Spa, marking the brand’s entry into Dehradun and strengthening its footprint in North India’s emerging leisure destinations.
Located along the Nun River in the Doon Valley, the resort positions itself as a gateway property for travellers visiting nearby hill and spiritual destinations such as Mussoorie, Rishikesh, and Haridwar. The property is approximately 45 minutes from Jolly Grant Airport and about 15 minutes from Dehradun Railway Station.
The resort features 103 rooms and suites with views of the surrounding hills and riverfront. Its design draws inspiration from mid-century modern aesthetics, incorporating natural tones, regional art, and architectural elements influenced by the iconic Forest Research Institute.
Dining and leisure offerings include an all-day restaurant serving global and regional cuisine, a café and bar concept that transitions through the day, a poolside bar, and the brand’s signature gelato programme. Wellness facilities include the Explore Spa with treatments inspired by Himalayan traditions, a fitness centre, and family-focused recreational activities.
The resort also targets events and destination gatherings with over 24,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor venues, including riverside lawns suited for weddings, social functions, and corporate meetings.
The opening reflects Marriott’s strategy of expanding lifestyle and leisure brands into high-potential gateway destinations, as Dehradun continues to grow as a base for tourism, nature travel, and spiritual circuits in northern India.
