Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Bandipur, Nepal, marking a further expansion of the company’s presence in the neighbouring market.
The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. With this signing, the company aims to strengthen its footprint in Nepal while catering to both business and leisure travellers.
Located in the heritage town of Bandipur in Nepal’s Tanahun District, the hotel is situated in an area known for its preserved Newari architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical significance as a former stop on the India–Tibet trade route.
Accessed via a 1,700-metre cable car ride, the hotel will be the only property located at the hilltop site, at an elevation of approximately 1,030 metres. Once operational, it is expected to offer panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and the Marsyangdi Valley. Nearby attractions include the Khadka Devi Temple, as well as hiking trails and cave explorations within the pedestrian-friendly zone.
The hotel is planned to feature 80 rooms, along with a restaurant, bar, banquet and meeting facilities. Recreational amenities will include a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.
Bandipur is located between Kathmandu and Pokhara and is accessible via public and private transport. The property is approximately 145 km from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, and around 75 km from Pokhara International Airport.
Commenting on the signing, Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the addition would complement the group’s existing presence in Nepal, which currently includes two operational hotels and three under development, and reflects the company’s continued focus on international growth.
