Marriott International has partnered with the Grey Group to introduce the JW Marriott brand to Ludhiana, Punjab, a city known as India’s “Manchester” for its vibrant industries. Slated to open in January 2029, the luxury hotel will be part of a mixed-use development encompassing retail and residential spaces.
Ranju Alex, Regional Vice President of Marriott International South Asia, emphasized the brand’s transformative role in Ludhiana’s hospitality landscape. “The JW Marriott Ludhiana will set a benchmark in luxury hospitality, catering to both discerning travelers and the city’s evolving needs,” she said.
Owner Inder Raj Singh of Grey Group expressed pride in the collaboration, stating, “This project will redefine Ludhiana’s urban and hospitality landscape, reinforcing its emergence as a national hub.”
Located strategically near key transportation hubs, the hotel will feature 160 elegantly designed rooms and suites, alongside diverse dining options, including specialty restaurants, a Lobby Lounge, and JW Market. Wellness spaces such as the JW Garden, Spa by JW, and a fitness center will reflect the brand’s focus on mindfulness.
With 1,500 square meters of event space, including a large outdoor lawn, JW Marriott Ludhiana aims to become a landmark destination for business, leisure, and social events in the city.
