The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) is set to host the fifth edition of its Food Delivery Summit in Ahmedabad on August 20, bringing together more than 5,000 restaurant owners, over 70 industry leaders and 1,500 brands to discuss the future of India’s restaurant and food delivery ecosystem.
To be held at The Forum – Hotel & Convention, Ahmedabad, the summit is expected to be the largest edition of the event to date. Presented by Petpooja and supported by Coca-Cola, Janshakti, ITC Master Chef and Prasuma, the event will bring together restaurateurs, food delivery platforms, technology providers, cloud kitchen operators, investors and policymakers from over 30 cities.
Centred around the theme ‘Automate to Dominate: Tech Powers Growth’, the summit will examine how artificial intelligence, automation and digital technologies are reshaping restaurant operations, customer engagement and delivery models. The discussions come at a time when India’s food services market is projected to expand significantly over the next five years, prompting operators to invest in technology-led efficiencies and scalable business models.
According to NRAI, the summit will focus on the role of AI-driven transformation, operational excellence, changing consumer behaviour and emerging business models in driving the next phase of industry growth. Ahmedabad was chosen as the host city in recognition of its growing stature as a food and entrepreneurship hub and its rapidly expanding organised restaurant market.
Sagar Daryani, President, NRAI and CEO & Co-founder, Wow! Momo Foods, said the food delivery ecosystem has created new opportunities for restaurants while also introducing operational and business complexities. He noted that the summit will provide a platform for industry stakeholders to collaborate on solutions that can help restaurants become more efficient, resilient and future-ready through technology adoption.
Chef Aanal Kotak, Chapter Head, NRAI Ahmedabad and Founder of The Secret Kitchen, said Ahmedabad has emerged as one of India’s most dynamic food destinations and that hosting the summit reflects the city’s growing relevance within the country’s hospitality and restaurant landscape.
The event will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions and networking forums with leading industry executives, including representatives from Wow! Momo Foods, Jubilant FoodWorks, Rebel Foods, Hocco Ice Creams, Churchgate Hospitality and other major restaurant and food service brands. Key discussions are expected to focus on AI integration, automation, entrepreneurship, delivery innovation and the future evolution of India’s restaurant sector.
