The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has rebranded its recently acquired Coorg retreat as The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary, strengthening its luxury leisure portfolio with a destination-led hospitality offering rooted in wellness, nature and local culture.
Spread across 76 acres of forests and coffee plantations in the Western Ghats, the retreat marks The Leela’s continued expansion into experiential luxury travel. The property features 71 villas, including duplex, family and private pool villas, along with the four-bedroom Sunbeam Presidential Villa.
The repositioning aligns with the brand’s strategy of offering immersive stays that showcase the character of each destination. Guests can experience plantation walks, forest trails, birdwatching, cycling, waterfall excursions and curated coffee experiences alongside wellness programmes under Aujasya by The Leela.
The resort’s hospitality offerings include multiple dining venues such as Luma, Zen, The Cellar and 92 Degrees, while its 27,000 sq. ft. wellness centre, seven-acre lake and private helipad further strengthen its appeal in the premium leisure segment.
The retreatretreat has been developed as an IGBC Platinum-certified property, combining sustainable design with luxury experiences inspired by Kodava heritage and the surrounding landscape.
With 24 hotels operational and in the pipeline across India, The Leela said the new identity reinforces its strategy of expanding into distinctive leisure destinations while strengthening its portfolio of luxury hospitality experiences.
